Will Blago's stone-deaf defiance have any long-term effects on the Democratic brand in IL?

Or, would a successful Obama White House mitigate most of the damage to Dems in the state? Or, are folks in IL too partisan to consider voting another way. Or, is the Republican brand in IL too weak and/or corrupt itself to make up some ground?
