Anyone know what these cakes are called?

They are baked in individual quite narrow domed timbales and are coated in jam and desiccated coconut and topped with a glac� cherry! My mum used to make them all the time when we were kids, and she called them 'madeleines', which they were obviously not! Anyone know their real name?
