What kind of guitar pickups would you recommend for me?

I play rock, in the vein of Wilco and Phish. Not heavy metal / hard rock, and not blues (though I do play strats). I like the way the strat plays, but don't necessarily need the slap / pop. I like flavorful tones. I have always just gone with the stock pickups on my strat, but I want to upgrade.
